Heavy chugs, soaring guitar tones, melodic vocals with a powerful rhythm section makes Awaiting The Answer one of those bands that keeps it heavy, and keeps it completely real.

With a sound that can be comparable to Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, and Atreyu, this Canadian quintet shows no disappointment in the musicianship factor. Setting all post production antics aside, this band is a big breath of fresh air. Their song “No Innocence” is a perfect example of how naturally gifted the band is. With dueling guitars that set the heavy tone for the rhythm section, and vocals that lead the pack altogether with both melodic approaches and shattering screams that grab you by the throat, you get a grasp of the perfect balance with their take on the melodic-metal core sound.

The best part to me is the simplicity. No EDM implementation, or experimental studio theatrics. This band did it the old fashion way that never fails. Step one: write powerful songs. Two: perfect them and polish them. And three: go into the studio, plug in, and track everything as it was intended. Your result will be nothing short of amazing, because there’s no unnecessary additives in this mix. This is a band that truly sticks to the roots of what made melodic metal the unstoppable genre it is today.

This genre is everywhere, but it’s very hard to find a band that can still truly pull off what this genre was really meant to be. Awaiting The Answer is one of those bands. And it’s refreshing as hell.
