Artist Review: Metanoiz – “404040” feat. Chris Rivers (Official Music Video)

Two men, two mics, two minds, and two times the talent, this dynamic duo consisting of Kaydom and Kaydas under the group name Metanoiz, currently signed to rising label Anakeion Music, has been making some mega noise that has garnered these twin brothers critical acclaim, positive reception, and an insatiable fan base since coming out the gate in the Mt. Pocono area of Pennsylvania.

Their hit single “404040 (feat. Chris Rivers)” is an audio and visual journey into something fun, witty, and cleverly executed. Not only do we have some insanely ridiculous rhyming skills dueling between the twin stars, but also a humble and versatile edge in the video content as well.

The beat has a high likability factor between the ambient and energetic approach. But it’s Kaydom and Kaydas‘ supercharged charisma that really puts the icing on the cake. And their Prince-like image certainly helps the mainstream appeal! Both brothers are very unique and share a promising chemistry that’s gonna push their success forward with every new release they put out.

Hip Hop pioneer Chris Rivers also adds to the stew on this track perfectly. His charisma, balance and composure definitely shows parallels to the Metanoiz verses, and is definitely the correct Feature artist for this song; the same way as casting the perfect role for an actor. His rhythms and time signatures also add more uniqueness to the overall approach, and also presents himself above your expectations when spitting his verse among some authentic set designs in the video. The transitioning works, his content is relevant, and really adds a dose of flavor to the overall music video experience.

Another thing I noticed was the passion behind the rhymes. During the in-studio set designed verses, each brother interacts both with the studio mic and the camera shots; showing not only how much fun they are having (a good vibe is never a bad thing) but also showcasing the heart and soul of their artistic merit. And it’s these qualities that not only make this video brilliant, but also shows the insatiability for the love of what they do. And that’s what I believe the industry will take note of ontop of the tag-team top talent of Metanoiz.
