Album Review: Daryl Yahudy – Soulful Life Within LP

Atlanta has always sported some of the most insatiable talent. And with Daryl Yahudy taking center stage of the review board with his album Soulful Life Within, we get some more of ATL’s most finest.

All I gotta say is, this is the way R&B was meant to be. A true soul-to-soul experience from start to finish; the tenderness of well crafted vocals that parallel perfectly with every beat, progression, tempo, and writing structures that allow the perfect melodies to completely grasp your ears, and your heart. Most of all, Soulful Life Within grasps at your attention.

Yahudy is definitely no stranger to music. The rising star has put together a collection of tracks that leave you breathless, weightless, and absolutely elated. Each of these tracks offer up something new; something that showcases the singer in a different angle, making this album a joy to behold as you listen.

From subtle ballads like “Beauty Within” and “Get Up” to more upbeat fingersnappers like the catchiness from “Joy of Yah”, there are many key elements utilized for every track that demonstrate just how effective Daryl Yahudy‘s vocals are throughout the duration of this record. The music is very piano-oriented with an essence for ambience, good vibes, and a lovable nature that sets the bar high for the likability factor.

One thing you can not even dispute is the Soul of this record. The LP title is a very fitting one and the clean-cut image that Daryl Yahudy presents himself with reminds us that true R&B still exists, and it’s singers like him that keep the genre not just alive and well, but stronger than ever. In almost every track from Soulful Life Within, you can hear the perfect balance between yesterday and today’s sensibilities of R&B’s best efforts put on the industry table; worthy of something very big in the prospect of the rising artist’s future.

Believe me when I say that it doesn’t come often that true R&B makes its rounds anymore. And that’s what truly makes Daryl Yahudy‘s Soulful Life Within the gem that it really is. From production value that emphasizes on the singer’s strengths in melody and character, to the songwriting structures and progressive measures that ties it all together creating the perfect recipe for an album you are bound to love from the very first listen. All this while the sensuality of Yahudy‘s blissful vocals that sings straight to your heart, this is also the perfect album to get to know the artistic merit that this singer carries with him, and just how bright his future looks as a rising star.
