Artist Interview: Trilhoutte

Interview by: Justyn Brodsky

A few days ago, we did an Exclusive Review with Dynamic Duo, Trilhoutte. Now, we’re bringing them back to the platform for an Exclusive Interview; a look inside their career as their music continues to build an insatiable buzz. So we caught up with Ty and Shaq with a set of questions that’ll give an insight to their past, present, and future
.
1. Where are you guys currently based out of?

Right now we are currently based out of Atlanta.

2. What inspired you guys to get into music?

Ty: I grew up around a family full of singers and musicians and in the church playing instruments such as the drums and keyboard. I would always sing to myself and when I was by myself or around my brother because for a long time I was shy. I always knew I would end up doing music but at first I just wanted to produce. Two years ago I finally went to the studio with an affiliate artist named juice and dropped some vocals and I really liked the way people vibes from my music. So ever since then it’s been a passion.

Shaq: his is all long… it started with I miss you tracks to my ex girlfriend that caught the attention of every woman besides her lol. So I kept with it, with the help of jojo the voice and Feek. Dropped a lot of music but I had a bad habit of dropping music and taking it down. I’m a perfectionist at some times. I hate to say that shes why I started taking it serious but it’s the truth. My mom and family wants to do music and are musically talented but most sit in the shadows I got tired of sitting on it basically.

3. What are your goals in your career currently? Big or small.

Our first goal is working on our new project while currently pushing our hit single “1×1=x”. We want to prepare people for this new project because it’s not your typical R&B. We have a very unique sound and we are putting our all into this next project to make sure that our fans really enjoy it and that we stand out in R&B with our different sound. Also our goal is to make sure that we have 2018 booked and full of shows and continue pushing our brand.

4. Who are some of your biggest Artist Influences?

Ty: Chris brown, Big Sean, Michael Jackson.

Shaq: R. Kelly, and Eric Bellinger.

5. What have you learned the most since becoming active Artists?

We have learned that it’s all about patience, consistency, faith, and hard work. We had to realize it starts with us first and our vision for Trilhoutte. We had to first believe in ourselves, be patient and become business minded because most people aren’t as visionary minded as we are. Also you have to set goals and work to achieve them and it’s very important to find a team of people that have the same mindset.

6. What’s been your best and worst show so far in your career, and why?

Ty: My first show was definitely my worst show. I performed with a affiliate artist named juice and I was really prepared as much as I thought. Also the speaker set up was bad and I couldn’t hear myself so I was singing off on certain parts of my songs.

Shaq: prolly my first show too. I mean when I was younger I definitely wasn’t the same as I am now. It took time. Feek really gassed me up over the years so I Feek Like I stand on the stage with the top R&B artist around.

7. What song, single, album, or release in general has been your most successful so far?

Our single “1×1=x” has been our best song and has gotten the most recognition so far on Spotify. We feel like that’s a great start to show our fans how unique our sound is and it’s only a sneak peak into how amazing our first project will be.

8. What music are you currently working on and when can we expect it to come out?

Right now we are currently working on new songs for a project which will most likely be coming out before this year ends. At the moment we will continue to push “1×1=x” so that we can keep gaining more fans and more attention and we will most likely drop our cover to Chris Brown’s song “Popping” just to give something to the fans because we have been dropping teasers and they’ve been loving it.
