Hailing from the landscapes of Manila in the Philippines, DJ Cherry Summer began hitting the ground running in the music realm in 2011 and embraced an open format formula with hip hop influences with her own signature sound and stylization.

Not long after emerging on to the scene, Apl de Ap of artist superstars The Black Eyed Peas and owner of Jeepney Music Label discovered the aspiring DJ and eventually began mentoring Cherry Summer, as well as inking a deal to the label. She performed as an opening and closing act for many of the label’s showcases in the Manila music scene as well as surrounding areas, and also became part of Apl de Aps’ “We Can Be Everything” Campaign, an education advocacy campaign designed to help students achieve their dreams and build more classrooms in the Philippines. She also participated in the “Going Out To Give” party, a benefit event for typhoon victims.As DJ Cherry Summer flourished as a label artist over several years, she started garnering acclaim in many arenas of the market. Her music would go on to chart on the Top 67 in the Top 100 Djanes in Asia of 2017, Top 20 hottest club DJs in Manila, Top 20 best Djanes in the Philippines by Djane Mag PH, Top 15 most beautiful Djanes in the Philippines, and NBA Asia DJ.

Cherry Summer also graced a vast array of magazines including FHM, Maxim Magazine, Pulp Magazine, Juan Pinas Travel Magazine, and Playboy Magazine PH. She also performed DJ sets on behalf of many popular brands including Coca Cola, Alaska Aces Official Apps, Globe, Smart, Talk and Text, Touch Mobile, Mountain Dew, FHM, Petron, Carrier Aircons, NBA Asia, Blu Energy Drink, Jose Cuervo, SM Department Stores, G Starr Raw Jeans, Phosphor Watches, Isuzu Motors, Huwawei Launch, and Shell. And also DJ’d at numerous large Sports Events including GILAS Pilipinas (Philippines Men’s National Basketball Team), NBA, NCAA (Nu Victory Party), FIBA Asia, Azkals football team Party, and Footbool Balita.

Before getting into the DJing scene, Cherry Summer also did a wide variety of modeling and commercial spreads for many fashion and modeling outlets. She later on went to DJ Academy to learn more about the craft of DJing, and began gracing the stage at several prominent events including the New Years countdown to other countries like Johor Malaysia and Penang, Hard Rock Penang, Club Aruku Johor Malaysia, and also got to perform at the renowned Bali Indonesia (Sky Garden Bali). She also became an FHM Girls Next Door Finalist.
