Artist Review: Picasso Redd – “Now Or Never” Single

It’s rare to run into an artist that is truly versatile. Combining elements of Rap and R&B with old school elements reminiscent of influential artists like LL Cool J and Bone Thugz N’ Harmony, we get a grasp of a new atmospheric level with Picasso Redd‘s innovative single “Now Or Never.”

Utilizing low-to-mid ranged vocal deliveries that are soothing and subtle, we get an exercise of something memorable, original and multifaceted. What’s great about this track is not overusing the production value. It’s a song that puts Picasso at the forefront and really brings his talent front and center, showing us his identity as an artist without the extra noise.

It could very well pass as the next best love-making track, but shares many other qualities that enhance Now Or Never’s likability factors. The song blends components of several iconic eras, but puts a modernized twist on it. The production value is right where it needs to be and doesn’t try to outdo itself in anyway. The ambience in the song’s overall beat structure really helps bring a vibe and kind of solace that gets you to come back to this song and appreciate it in new ways all over again.

“Now Or Never” is definitely a track that entices you to delve deeper into Picasso‘s catalogue, and keep up with what he has up his sleeve. This is a must-listen for any music fan looking for something fresh and raw, yet still yearning for that familiarity you’ve always loved. This song delivers you just that, and so much more. You won’t regret giving this song a listen. It’ll definitely end up on your 2018 favorites list.
