Artist Review: 3 Mind Blight – “Make This Right” Single

Coming out the gate with a signature sound that is hauntingly hypnotic with a dynamically visceral beat and anthemic aura, Hip Hop artist 3 Mind Blight takes us on a musically visual journey with his single “Make This Right”.

This track is a banger that definitely doesn’t disappoint, and has a dark side that entertains our most guiltiest of pleasures. With witty rhyming schemes and clever punchlines at the forefront, 3MB showcases mic skills that are not only identifiable, but also ahead of its time as well. His word play is fast at times, but you can understand what he’s displaying. It doesn’t just fly over your head. He’s also an authentic lyricist, and really delves into content that shines the spotlight on both his songwriting structures, as well as artistic merit.

“Makes This Right” is definitely a generous contribution to Hip Hop, and really guides the genre in a promising direction. While 3MB‘s vocal approach is reminiscent of rappers we’ve all come to know over the years, he also carries an immense originality factor with him that leaves room for versatility and multifaceted writing techniques. He has the type of mid-ranged, charismatic voice that can carry almost any kind of weight in the Hip Hop genre; and put his signature craft just about anywhere. And that’s what “Make This Right” showcases the most – ability and authenticity. Where no matter how different a beat may be, you can always tell it’s coming from the same artist. And that’s what gives this song (and artist) staying power – the ability to stay with you after its initial discovery.
