Artist Review: Cab – “Chosen” LP

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

Rappers can be around every corner of your hood, but there is only one Cab.

Combining versatility, loud bangers and subtle beats, Cab‘s album Chosen has a plethora of likability factors and multifaceted approaches to his songs; and they don’t disappoint.

Chosen starts off strong with beats that are of a whole different realm that is ahead of its time. His music resonates with a style that touches on originality and familiarity, giving his audience a taste of something fresh, yet still identifiable, but not too recognizable. He’s an artist in his own right and really projects a powerfully crafted vocal approach in the first few tracks.

He does, however, simmer down with tracks like “Thinking About You”, a song where his emotions come into play and really shows different angles to Cab‘s caliber, and it’s a refreshing and tasteful side to his album.

Chosen is an album you really need to pick up, or perhaps add to your Spotify list. It’s an album that is strong, subtle, projected, and diligently crafted from the heart.
