Multifaceted, catchy and lyrically clever are a few ways to describe Majeur‘s artistic merit. The Cincinnati-based artist has been a vital voice in the Hip Hop community since coming out the gate and really puts a fresh spin on the genre with an atmospheric presence. And with the release of his 6-track EP ‘Tha Ceremony’, we get a fresh demonstration of Majeur‘s versatility and uniqueness that has made him a standout since the record dropped.

The first thing you’ll notice, especially on tracks like “Flight Ranger” and “5-19”, is the ambience and atmosphere in the beats. They bring out the perfect dose of sensuality and even space-like themes that really adds character to Majeur‘s vocal melodies and sing-songy style. His voice is diligently multilayered and has a smooth resonance that truly showcases a textured lyrical style, which carries both a crafty and catchy edge. The standout of the EP is the more upbeat banger “Lavish”. A super swaggerish track that combines the atmospheric signature sound this record showcases, and a club-going bassy punch that would sound nicely through a set of Sony Xplodes. It’s a great blend of tasty flavors of ambience and melody all wrapped up into one hypnotically addictive Hip Hop record that definitely stands out among the average SoundCloud crowd. This is an EP of well executed and professionally polished songs with diligent production value that pays attention to detail.

If you’re a fan of industry heavyweights like Lil Wayne, Drake and those alike, then Majeur is a major recommendation that you’ll thank us for later. ‘Tha Ceremony’ is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other digital music streaming platforms. You’ll definitely be adding this one to your playlists.
