DC-based Hip Hop pioneer and Bentley Records recording artist V2T is no stranger to the game. He began hitting the ground running at the age of 12 and has amassed an extensive career with an insatiably loyal fan base over several years; and shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. However, when the rising artist dropped his hit single “IDK” on renowned platform World Star Hip Hop, his career would hit peak status and continue to stay at the top of the game. Now, with the release of his EP ‘Drop Glitch,’ V2T proves that he can easily raise the bar and exceed expectations no matter what position he is in.

This 5-track juggernaut has an assortment of bangers that will draw in just about any Hip Hop fan. Opening track “Money Bags” is high energy and straightforward with its Trap beat structure and rawness. V2T‘s vocal approach is very versatile when it comes to his flow and really sets the tone for the rest of the record with his dynamic use of rhyming techniques and wordsmithy cleverness. This continues with the track “Patek” which also showcases different angles of V‘s lyrical forms, but it’s the song “Clout Pack” That really brings out a whole new realm of catchiness. This song’s hook demonstrates strong defining factors to V‘s signature sound on this record and really encapsulates his artistic merit effectively; giving the listener a front row seat to V‘s very real and story-like vocal ability. Tracks “IDK” and “TrapStar” are more bouncy and anthemic, perfect for a club setting and party atmosphere with all the swagger you could ever ask for. The overall execution of the record grasps crucial portions of 90s and early 2000s Hip Hop while also embracing an edge that gives it today’s modern sensibility.

‘Drip Glitch’ is definitely a must-listen for 2020. It’s V2T at some of his best material and will definitely entice you to do a more deep dive into his career.
