Emerging from the cityscapes of Orange County in California, Alt/Indie band West of House began hitting the ground this past year in December 2019 when the quintet got together through their respective music scene, most coming from different bands over the years. As chemistry formed quickly, the band came together as five top of the line musicians to form a solid lineup ready to create some next-level music that would share reminiscences of Pink Floyd, Radiohead, U2, The Cure and many others of a similar caliber. After several months of composing, creating and combining their respective talents into one powerful unit, the band’s album ‘Crescendo of Silence’ would emerge and fire up the band’s fan base, as well as new listeners; beginning a career that showed an immense amount of promise in the future, but some high expectations as well due to the anticipation of what they had in store for the debut album.

The band’s distinctive Alt/Rock signature sound lays down a unique foundation with balance and composure that touches on equal parts originality and familiarity; utilizing a sound that has well known stylizations, as well as freshness among the five members and their individual contributions to the band’s overall sound. Opening track “Yesterdays” is triumphantly anthemic and has production value that compliments the top notch song writing and precise vocals this track serves up. The chorus is wholesome, the verses are effective and the upper 3rd harmonies really demonstrate an unrelenting vocal range coming from singer Erick Bieger. It’s definitely a standout track among others like the more upbeat “Echoes Down The Road,” a song that cruises from beginning to end with powerful Major key chords that really leave open room for melodically magnificent vocals. It’s a solid track that really changes up the pace and really brings true melody to the album that stands out from every angle; making it a record that explores some of the best tones an Alt/Record could really bring to the forefront.

‘Crescendo of Silence’ is an innovative album of ten tracks that really puts West of House on a pedestal of their own. It has every element you’d expect from an alt/rock record plus so much more. It’s just something you’d have to hear to believe. The album will be available September 4th on Spotify and several other music streaming platforms.
