Exclusive Review: Neoborn Caveman – “Where Is The Direction” Single

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

With catchy guitar riffs, thought-provoking lyrics and integral artistic merit, Rock recording artist Neoborn Cavemen proves that his signature sound is a major standout of the genre with his anthemic single, “Where Is The Direction”.

This song kicks a whole lot of ass, and absolutely takes no prisoners. The mid-pickup power chord intro is powerful, wholesome and really pumps up the anticipation of where this song is heading. After the pounding rhythm section kicks off, it’s off to the races. This heavier Rock-infused track has a driving tempo, strong chord progressions and low-to-mid range vocal melodies that really adds versatility to the song’s overall execution. The production value is right where it needs to be and never outdoes itself in any way. It’s a dynamically punchy mix that diligently showcases the melodic guitar work, smooth bass lines and arena-style drum tones.

This song also has a nostalgic 80s influence that any Rock fan will appreciate; boasting a unique crossover of sounds reminiscent to industry heavyweights like The Scorpions, The Cure and David Bowie. The vocal melodies are very effective in the chorus and really ties the song together in a way that really shows off the songwriting ability. Each instrument is tightly knit together, the lyrics are passionately driven, and the immersive and energetic approach makes this song a powerful listening experience.

“Where Is The Direction” is one of many solid tracks off Neoborn‘s album ‘The Break-Up Therapy’. A genre-bending album that takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride of positive energy and artistic flavors through the love of music and creation. You can listen to “Where Is The Direction” on Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital music streaming platforms. You’ll thank us for recommending this one.

Exclusive Review: Christone – “Another Chance” Single

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

While listening to Radio New York Live today at the office here in New York, a track came on that caught my attention pretty swiftly. It was luck of the draw, granted I hardly listen to the radio. But after the song was over, it was announced that the song was by a Paris-based artist named Christone, and the single was called “Another Chance”. That’s all I needed to know, and here we are.

Encompassing a versatile Rock and Country vibe reminiscent to Bon Jovi and Keith Urban, Christone‘s signature sound is authentic and multifaceted. Produced in New York with additional backing vocals on this song by LA-born singer Katy Rose (now also based in Paris), “Another Chance” is a glowing track that showcases many angles to Christone‘s artistic merit and vocal range. With subtle verses that have brilliant key changes during its build up and a powerful chorus to top it off, this track is anything but a letdown. The production value is top of the line and really encapsulates Christone‘s voice in a way that is effective and visceral. His good looks are also a staple to his image and sound, making him a widely accessible artist that anyone could love from the first time they see and listen to him.

Now that his highly anticipated new single has emerged, new opportunities await the rising artist as he continues to hit the ground running at full speed. And once you take a listen to “Another Chance” yourself, you’ll see (and hear) exactly why he caught our attention from the first listen. We can’t recommend Christone highly enough and we can not wait to see him perform live. “Another Chance” is currently available online and all digital music streaming platforms.

Exclusive Review: 3 Mind Blight – “Breaking Down” Single

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

3 Mind Blight has graced our platform before in January of 2019 with the single “Make This Right” and has garnered thousands of views since the article was published. Finally, today in April of 2020, we get a subsequent single on our platform in the form of “Breaking Down”. 3MB normally known for his hip hop approach takes a much heavier and more emotional role throughout this track that does justice to the title of the song.

3MB is an artist and producer that is well known around his camp for composing songs that center around the feeling and emotion surrounding a song. An aura or subtlety that renders the artist a way to gather material and inspiration for a song’s center piece as it is thought. And that’s where the beauty of Breaking Down” comes into a play. A supercharged and high-gained guitar driven song that is powerfully emotional, full of clever lyricism and rhythmic outbursts that conjure up some powerful buildups and breakdowns,

Each verse hones its own style and even touches on many political spectrums. A beautifully composed piano part slides into the song unexpectedly yet meaningfully, demonstrating the song’s story-telling technique and ability to keep you focus throughout the song’s duration. 3BM low-to-mid ranged voice is powerfully projected just as much as it is soothing and attentive in detail; which makes “Breaking Down” a song that showcases many angles of 3BM‘s detail with many authentic songwriting structures and naturally gifted knack for writing from the heart, and not just robotic as if it were just some fake job. 3 Mind Blight has always been the real deal, and always will be.

Exclusive Review: Betyljoos – “Back In Time” and “Wishing Well” Singles

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

Official Single Cover Art for Betyljoos’s single “Back In Time”

Betyljoos is no stranger to the musical spectrum, she began hitting the ground running in the NYC music scene around 2016 with her versatile and multifaceted Rock sound that is just as much unrelenting as it is attention-grabbing. Her loud and anthemic song’s not only present an in-your-face signature sound, but a powerful personality as well; giving her audience a feeling of dangerous fun and hypnotizing party vibes with some extra high-gain guitars.

Her first current album-teasing single “Back In Time” is a perfect demonstration of Betyljoos‘s fully fronted passion with an aura of energy that could give female Pop artists a run for their money and audiences a jaw-dropping feeling of ominous curiosity. But no need to take it slow – Betyljoos will make sure you get your fair portion plus much, much more. Her noisy, gain-driven guitars compliment the unwavering pounding rhythm section that not only stays on point, but communicates vibrantly, giving the band a chemistry that is explosive but safe enough to witness before your eyes (and ears). This track is a perfect introductory into getting to know Betyljoos.

Official Cover Art for Betyljoos’s Second Single “Wishing Well

With Betyljoos‘s subsequent single “Wishing Well”, make no mistake – prepare to have your face melted off. With an onslaught of heavy guitar progressions, ambient and mysterious verses that lead into a pre chorus that diligently lands into a chorus that has catchiness written all over it. This song could easily be a chart topper and also meshes together several elements of many rock eras ranging from the 80s, 90s, and everything after; all blended into a machine that is built, run, operated and finely tuned by the undeniable songwriting techniques of Betyljoos herself.

Both of these smash singles stand out on their own easily and strongly showcase the artistic merit Betyljoos brings to the forefront with both songwriting and performance, but best of all, in a semi-plot twist, these two tracks are also part of a full length album she will be releasing later this year in 2020. “Back In Time” was released on April 4th (2020) and “Wishing Well” was released back in September of 2019. These two singles have created an insatiable buzz for the rising artist, so the anticipation built around her album release date has grown rapidly and residually. And once you take a listen to Betyljoos yourself, you’ll see see and hear exactly why.
