Neoborn Caveman – “12 Days of Love” Single

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

Neoborn Caveman has graced our platform before. And the more we get to know him, the more versatility of his musical stature comes to light. His single “12 Ways of Love” is definitely a rollercoaster ride of one of his many angles of multifaceted goodness that truly shines on a path that bridges the gap between originality and familiarity; giving us even more insight into NC‘s soundscapes and artistic merit.

Utilizing a more electronically infused signature sound, from beginning to end, NC‘s vocals resonate both lyrically and rhythmically parallel. And that’s what makes this song truly unique – we get to indulge into NC‘s vocal abilities in ways that are multilayered with standouts of their own.

The usage of EDM is very anthemic and organized. Everything flows melodically much like his other material, but, “12 Ways of Love” is a modern treat for the ears that brings forth a futuristic sound that is also comprised of many familiar vocal melody structuring. And that’s another facet of this song – structuring. We get genre-bending elements that are surprising but still smoothly transitioned in a way that doesn’t throw the song off. Oh, and the subtlety in NC‘s voice manages to sustain perfectly alongside his musical character. The many elements used to suspend every measure of this song is chosen wisely and crafted carefully. This song has twists and turns, but never strays from its actual foundation that the track starts with. “12 Ways Of love” is one big dose of versatility with its own sense of sweetness, splendor and charm all doused in one electronic package of compelling production value.

“12 Ways of Love” releases August 31st and will be available everywhere including all digital music streaming platforms.

Exclusive Review: Cherry-Ilex – “Where Is Your Love (feat. Erica B. and Shaunté Daurice)” Single

Article by: Justyn W. Brodsky

If there’s one thing we’ve gotten to know about Long Beach-based producer Kevin Bailey (known as studio/recording artist Cherry-Ilex), it’s that he continues to pump out the hits ever since he hit the ground running many years ago when he first hopped behind the mixing board.

Since last month’s exclusive review for his predecessor, “Reason”, Bailey set the bar very high for the expectations surrounding what would be his highly anticipated follow up. And true to form, with his newest single “Where Your Love”, a song that lends beautifully executed continuity to his previous singles with much more versatility, proves that Cherry-Ilex is more than just a producer and songwriter – he’s a hit maker.

With female feature-artist Erica B. at the helm of lead melody vocals again (now accompanied by backup singing tracks), “Where Is Your Love” showcases the same power as the previous single and brings out more innovation than anything else Cherry has put out in the recent past. This track utilizes the same similar effective formulas that has given Cherry‘s music the charm that it is known for; using well selected plugins, classic R&B/Jazz-era instrumental styles, all mixed diligently with a humble and modern edge that makes a track like this completely relevant in today’s mainstream music spectrum.

Erica B‘s vocals once again are astounding and natural with much more projection from the presence of backup vocals bringing her more out to the forefront. “Where Is Your Love” is a sensual and unforgettable song that reminds us of the way R&B was meant to be – wholesome, soulful and real. Cherry-Ilex has set the bar even higher yet again, and “Where Is Your Love” is a perfect addition to Cherry‘s growing catalogue of hits, and when you take a listen to this track yourself, you’ll definitely be anticipating what tricks he has up his sleeves next time he enters the studio.

Artist Review: Cherry Ilex Sound – Reason (Take a Trip) featuring Erica B

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

We’ve reviewed Cherry Ilex‘s music before. The elite west coast producer has laid down a more-than-solid foundation for his multifaceted set of multi-talents both as a songwriter and creator behind the mixing board; and he comes back out swinging with his first release in 2020, “Reason (Take a Trip)”.

Cherry‘s knack for vibing rhythms and catchy melodies is still ever present just like his previous releases. But this time, with feature artist Erica B at the helm of lead vocals, “Reason” has something truly special from beginning to end from the very first listen, and reaches out to a very innovative and wide-ranged audience that can appreciate Pop, Hip Hop, EDM, R&B and everything between. This track has a beat that captures a rap/snap and classic R&B signature, but possesses several clever elements in the realm of production and melody choices.

Erica B‘s vocals are addictive and completely star-quality; making this track a standout of its kind in the vocal melody department. But Cherry‘s attentiveness to detail is what truly makes this song an absolute gem. It covers many angles that are innovative enough to carry itself throughout the new 2020 millennium, but still has that hint of familiarity that gives us a callback to some of our favorite electronically-infused R&B tracks we’ve come to know over the years from many DJs and producers in the game.

This song is not only interesting, but also full of vibes that are completely feel-good throughout the track’s duration. The vocals are articulately crafted with well thought out lyrics, the production value has more than one approach that really blends together tastefully, and the overall sound this song tackles can cater to many different fans of many genres. This is the perfect kickstart track for the new millennium, and we at Artist Reach can not recommend “Reason” highly enough. You will be addicted to this one.

Back to the grind with another brilliant release, Bailey Jr. and his crew have put together the bossa-nova and R&B infused single “Slow Down A Minute (This Time)” with a whole new catchiness from the same caliber of talent.

Artist Review: Cherry Ilex Sound – “Take Me Away” Single

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

What’s interesting about the collective of Cherry Ilex Sound is the fact that the folks behind the project (and name) are also a multifaceted professional studio run by elite musicians. That’s why we are stoked to be writing this review of their new single “Take Me Away”, a pop rock feel-good track led by the studio owner and anchor songwriter Kevin Bailey Jr.

Just like us at Artist Reach, this is another music services platform with a “for musicians, by musicians” motto, which is why this song encompasses high quality authenticity and production value all wrapped up into one catchy tune that any alt/rock listener can appreciate.

Accompanied by a very visually cinematic lyric video, “Take Me Away” takes us back to a time when songwriting quality was higher on artist’ priority lists. Something that’s well executed, versatile and naturally gifted in talent. With a sound reminiscent to the 90s and early 2000s era, Cherry Ilex Sound delivers us a track that is melodic, charismatic and will get easily stuck in your head.

With clean guitar riffs and a punchy rhythm section carrying the torch throughout this track from beginning to end, this song has an unwavering presence of catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics and a climactic chorus that sticks with you even after the song is over. The thing we love the most is how fresh and natural their signature sound is. The track focuses more on presenting a high quality mix and emphasizing all the right elements in the correct places of the song; which is what makes this single the gem that it really is. The song doesn’t hide behind a mask or any kind of digital saturation whatsoever. We get a catchy tune with great lyrics with a fantastic mix, all straight forward without a gimmick.

We highly recommend this song as well as the Cherry Ilex Sound studio and collective all in one. Everything is self-produced, self-written, and highly eclectic. And when you listen to “Take Me Away” yourself, we guarantee you’ll catch the same feel-good sound that we did. We can’t recommend it highly enough:
