Neoborn Caveman – “12 Days of Love” Single

Review by: Justyn W. Brodsky

Neoborn Caveman has graced our platform before. And the more we get to know him, the more versatility of his musical stature comes to light. His single “12 Ways of Love” is definitely a rollercoaster ride of one of his many angles of multifaceted goodness that truly shines on a path that bridges the gap between originality and familiarity; giving us even more insight into NC‘s soundscapes and artistic merit.

Utilizing a more electronically infused signature sound, from beginning to end, NC‘s vocals resonate both lyrically and rhythmically parallel. And that’s what makes this song truly unique – we get to indulge into NC‘s vocal abilities in ways that are multilayered with standouts of their own.

The usage of EDM is very anthemic and organized. Everything flows melodically much like his other material, but, “12 Ways of Love” is a modern treat for the ears that brings forth a futuristic sound that is also comprised of many familiar vocal melody structuring. And that’s another facet of this song – structuring. We get genre-bending elements that are surprising but still smoothly transitioned in a way that doesn’t throw the song off. Oh, and the subtlety in NC‘s voice manages to sustain perfectly alongside his musical character. The many elements used to suspend every measure of this song is chosen wisely and crafted carefully. This song has twists and turns, but never strays from its actual foundation that the track starts with. “12 Ways Of love” is one big dose of versatility with its own sense of sweetness, splendor and charm all doused in one electronic package of compelling production value.

“12 Ways of Love” releases August 31st and will be available everywhere including all digital music streaming platforms.

Artist Review: Luanne Hunt – “Backroads, Bottles & Blues”

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

If there’s one elite artist that has graced our platform with music that gets better every time, it’s Hall of Fame Country Star Luanne Hunt.

Every release of hers compliments the last, and over time you can’t help but see what an inspiring and thriving catalogue of Country hits she puts out. And she adds to it beautifully with her fresh new EP Backroads, Bottles & Blues, a refreshing and delightfully catchy collection of 7 tracks that will win your heart over, especially if you’re a fan of true country.

From uptempo riffs, piano solos and innovative vocal harmonies with the finest precision one could hear, Luanne‘s natural and angelic voice soothes your soul from start to finish throughout every track. Her opening track “The Rhythm” is the perfect entrance into Luanne‘s signature sound and really gets you to grasp onto her artistic merit and her God’s gift to creating soulful music with heartfelt lyrics. It’s also a great track for those who haven’t heard her yet, and will steal your heart away from the very first verse.

With mid-tempo classic country vibes on tracks like “Broken Branches” and “Old Tobacco Road“, we get to hear another side to Luanne‘s writing style and her versatility as a songwriter shines really bright by making use of great guitar tones and chord progressions. The simplicity of the rhythm section is another great part about Luanne‘s style that allows her to keep her voice at the forefront in all the right places, meanwhile giving every instrument the room to explore different fills, measures and tastefully written solos that make these songs incredibly crafty with top notch musicianship factors.

This EP also includes her hit single “Lightning In A Bottle” from earlier in the year, as well as a new magical country ballad “Love Led Us Here”, a beautifully crafted gem that gets the heart fluttering and the soul glowing. The highlight of every track will always be Luanne‘s voice, one that is irreplaceable and incomparable. But it’s also her classic production value that delivers an old school country flavor with elements of today’s modern sensibilities that makes her truly multifaceted.

She has a positive presence and an amazing story-telling narrative to every song on this EP, and her ability to capture the best melody for each one is what makes Backroads, Bottles & Blues a true country classic record that will be sitting on your shelf of favorites. If you already know Luanne, then you already know you’re in for a treat. If this is your first time discovering her, then you’ll be more than happy that you did. She never ceases to amaze.

Artist Review Special: Luanne Hunt & Steven Bankey – “Lightning In A Bottle” Duet/Single

Review by: Justyn Brodsky

Acclaimed and widely-received Award Winning Indie Country Star Luanne Hunt has made an astonishing presence on the Artist Reach platform at least twice. And third time is definitely the charm with her new duet-single “Lightning In A Bottle” performed alongside Sioux City Country Artist Steven Bankey.

This song is definitely another one of Hunt‘s upbeat gems with the same lovable and infectiously catchy signature style she is known for. And both voices on this song definitely brings out something special and memorable the more you hear it.

With an old school western-sensibility that ties in some of today’s best Country/Folk elements we’ve all come to know and love, this verse-sharing track is anything but a letdown. We get a story-telling narrative that brings both Hunt and Bankey to the forefront on each verse, while coming together with authentic and innovative vocal harmonies in the chorus to tie it all together into one great foot-stomping package. These two Country stars just soar together beautifully.

The likability factors are there for any Country listener. But it’s not just what is used in this song it’s how it’s used. We have very effective violin parts that parallel beautifully with the steel guitar-fills and piano-licks while showcasing some of the best use of backup tri-harmonies you could hear in such a naturally produced song: making it very busy, but not oversaturated. One thing you’ll be able to pick up on is how dynamic and precise this song’s composition is. It’s not one of those songs in need of relentless synthesizers, compression or auto-tune; this is about as real as it gets and it really sets a great tone for this track and showcases Hunt and Bankey‘s naturally-gifted talent in the most effective ways.

One other thing I found interesting is that even though this song is a duet, it’s not a love song. Which is not a bad thing at all. In fact, I found it more captivating that an upbeat duet is being put to use here without using the “Feature Artist” component. This is a duet for those looking to get out and dance to an amazing Country tune!

Both of these brilliant artists shine bright on “Lightning In A Bottle”. Take a listen for yourself, and we have no doubt you’ll feel the same.
