If you yearn for the good old days when artists wrote R&B the way it was meant to be, then Jason Biyo is your draft pick, and for very good reasons.

Coming out the gate with the highly anticipated debut single “Numb” from his upcoming album ‘N.U.M.B.’, Jason brings forth a signature sound that gives great callbacks to 90s/early 2000s R&B and Pop sensibilities with a tasteful blend of today’s more modern era all wrapped up into one tightly knit package for die hard fans of the genre. With innovative use of his mid to high vocal range, Jason brings strength to this track with excellent melody choices and backup harmonies that encompass an essence similar to industry heavyweights like Usher and Ne-Yo.

As the title says, “Numb” tells a story about those who say they’ll be there for you, but always end up letting you down in the end no matter how much effort you put in. It’s a song that can easily resonate with you as a listener, and although the concept is fairly known, Jason sings it in a way where his vocal delivery makes the song more about how he delivers the message, not necessarily the message itself. He’s an effective, accessible artist that will be loved among all R&B fans both old and new, and brings a fresh dynamic to the genre that will undoubtedly make him standout. The production value on this song is also a treat, keeping the musicianship factors fresh, inventive, and traditional all at the same time.

“Numb” is available now on all mainstream digital music platforms. His 7-track EP/Album drops on June 5th, and will also be available on the same platforms. You’ll be more than glad we recommended Jason Biyo, you’ll be seeing (and hearing) his name much more this year.
